Northern Tier Hardwood Association is a non-profit organization serving the wood industry and its supporters throughout Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne, and Wyoming counties of Pennsylvania. With its abundant forests and lumber heritage, the Northern Tier region is known worldwide for the premier quality of its northern Appalachian hardwood lumber and related forest products. Our members are also committed to the long-term sustainability of the region’s forest resources and are actively involved in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) as well as many other environmental initiatives.
Our membership includes over sixty forest products-related companies and organizations of all sizes. The online directory will help you locate suppliers of quality Pennsylvania hardwood lumber, flooring, veneer, logs, millwork, and forest management services. Northern Tier Hardwood Association members can also find services from local businesses who share the organization’s mission of supporting the long-term advancement of the region’s wood industry.
Northern Tier Hardwood Association provides a variety of member benefits that include industry-related workshops and training, grants in support of member expansions, regional marketing assistance, and advocacy to community leaders regarding the needs and benefits of the wood industry. In addition, NTHA sponsors a significant number of educational programs across the region as well as many major community events. We also maintain a scholarship program for the region’s students interested in pursuing post-secondary education related to the forest products industry.
